Planned Route Description

Starting at 09:00 am or 02:30 pm from Zadar or Petrčane

We depart directly from Zadar or Petrcane to the island of Sestrunj.

The Island Sestrunj – Hrvatinj Bay

The first location is the small island harbour of Hrvatinj, which local residents use for swimming and docking their boats. Sestrunj is a very specific island near Zadar. Its long history dates back to the prehistoric era when the Illyrians, the oldest known inhabitants of these areas, lived on it.

The island is one of the smaller ones, and there is only one settlement on top of the island. Only recently, some residents have built houses in two island ports, Hrvatinj and Kablin, while the third and smallest port, Triluke, remains uninhabited. Kablin is the only harbour for ferry lines, while Hrvatinj is smaller, and only a few local boats are moored there. The harbour is gladly used as a bathing spot with the shade of pine trees. It is located on the northeast side of Sestrunj, offering a beautiful view from the port of the Velebit mountain, Vir and Pag islands, and three small islets known as the Three Sisters. Nature is untouched, with lush island vegetation full of various butterflies in summer. At the same time, the sea is crystal clear with a sandy bottom, meadows of Posidonia seaweed, and occasional rocks, making it ideal for snorkelling, where you can enjoy the view of various fish at depths of only 3-5 meters.

The Shipwreck Ledenik

After swimming and snorkelling in Hrvatinj, we head towards Maknara Point, the furthest northern point of Sestrunj, where the wreckage of the ship Ledenik is located. It is the most attractive shipwreck in the Zadar archipelago. It sank in 2008 and served as a refrigerated cargo ship for transporting blue fish, with a length of 70 meters. It sank on its side with the stern facing the shore at a depth of only 15 meters, while the bow facing Velebit and is at a depth of 23 meters. In the summer, when the sea is clear, the entire ship can be seen from the surface, attracting scuba divers, free divers, and complete amateurs who admire it from the surface.

Island Ugljan – Muline Bay

After that, we head to the island of Ugljan, to the small village of Muline, located in the northernmost part of Ugljan, facing the island of Rivnj. Muline has a beach with a sandy bottom in a small bay, so if desired, you can refresh yourself in the sea again or have a drink in a local café. In the afternoon, having lunch in two restaurants on the sea is also possible.

Journey Back to The Mainland

After taking a break in the charming town of Muline to enjoy some refreshing drinks and snacks, we will continue our journey back to either the coastal village of Petrčane or the historic city of Zadar, depending on where we started the boat tour. Throughout the scenic route, we’ll stop at any points of interest to make the most of our trip and take in the breathtaking views of the Adriatic Sea. The tour is a half-day excursion starting at 9:00 AM or 2:30 PM in Petrcane or Zadar. Clients are welcome to bring their sandwiches and drinks. We can provide masks, snorkels, and fins, but clients should bring windbreakers, sun hats, and sun cream. The boat has a large shelter and a good windshield, and its cruising speed is 28 knots, much faster than most of the competition.
